Friday night we had plans with family but things ended up falling through. We decided to take advantage of the time and go on a date with the kids. Nelson decided the fair way to pick what kid got to go with what parent was to flip a coin. As luck would have it- Asher got me. Neither one of the boys were that excited to have to go with their mom, the would chose their dad any day.
Asher and I got ready for our date and headed it. The whole date was planned by Ash. The night started at Costa Vida where Ash got his very own kids meal. (We all usually end up sharing meals). His meal was complete with a big serving of Sprite. He then chose to go bowling at Fat Cats. He even asked me to go easy on him. As hard as I tried to lose I still ended up winning. Asher tried to not act too disappointed. The night ended with a double scoop of ice cream at Farr's. A night can't be complete without a double dose of chocolate. Asher ended up deciding it was not that bad having to hang out with me, especially when he was incharge. He even said it was fun because he could talk to me about whatever he wanted and not get interrupted.
Max was the lucky winner to go with dad this time (this is only our second time doing this, we realized we need to do it more). Max picked to eat at Bella's where he pounded down a "large" burrito just like his dad. He then picked a book store. Good thing he was with his dad because he would enjoy that more than I. They looked at whatever books they wanted for almost an hour. His night was then topped off with Go Kart rides at Toads (thank heavens for season passes). We all had a blast and we were so glad we could spend time together.
